August, where did you go?
Seriously, what happened to August? Well, get ready for the massive photo dump from the past month. After looking at the volume of photos from this month, I probably should have done a Picasa album, but I didn't...
The month of August began with a visit from Hilary, Jason, Dylan, and Noah. It is still strange that we are the close ones now and Hilary's family is the farther away ones.

The kids put on a "show" with Grandma Cindy.

We spent the second part of their visit at my parents' cabin.

Dylan and Nora were by far the biggest fans of the hot tub.

Magnatiles are a huge hit with both of our families. We managed to get through the weekend without too many horrible battles over them.

To say that Nora loves her aunt Hilary and uncle Jason is quite an understatement. She really does love them and it is so cute how she snuggles into both of them. They were both a great help at entertaining her, making sure she wasn't eating stuff off the floor and getting her to fall asleep. Thanks!!!

Here we are back at our house where Nora has her own little "area" to keep her safe and/or to keep her out of trouble. Somehow the little cooler ended up in there with her and she managed to climb up on top of it. She was so proud of herself!

Our garden had some failures and some successes this year, but considering how late we planted some things and how little work we put into maintaining it, we were still pretty pleased with the results.

Here's a family computer gaming session on one of the days Evan was still recovering from the aftermath of swallowing the penny. Steve came home from work to find us all on the computer(s).

And here are some summer outside shots that I love. Obviously, I had trouble choosing my favorites. We have not spent much time in the backyard at all this summer because the beginning of the summer was too rainy and then it was too hot. So, we are looking forward to the cooler weather.

Evan carpeted the floor with puzzles.

Near the end of the month, our family returned to my parents' cabin again. It was a peaceful visit with a photogenic trip down the small hill to the riverside. Evan and Steve even went out in the canoe.

On Saturday, my dad, Steve, and I loaded up some old wood from nearby the house to take up the lane to the burn pile. We filled the trailer on the back of our van completely over the top. Thanks for a wonderful visit, mom and dad!

Well, that was the month of August. If you made it this far, thanks for looking at everything! Forgot to give photo credit to Steve for the photos from the "show" with Grandma Cindy and Hilary for the one of me with Dylan and Nora in the pool. Hopefully I'll try to be more on top of things this month.

Love all the pictures!! Thanks for including so many of my family too. Love the series with me and Dylan - no one ever captures things like that. I need to get all of those from you! I also love all the pics down by the river at the cabin. I just can imagine being there. :)
I love all the pictures but it makes me miss you so much! I can't believe how much Evan is changing, at least in my opinion.
Looks like a great month! I can't believe how big Nora is getting-almost a year-unbelievable!
