Tonight was the end of year culminating event and art show for the UPS Tools Project. All three classes had artwork on display at Krannert Art Museum. It was a really neat event and so fun to see all the children's work in once place.

Anya helped carry out her friend's artistic vision to create this giant piece.
Anya was in the Cooking Study Group and she chose to focus on solar cooking.
Anya also made this timeline of the history of solar cooking.
They learned how to make paper.
Evan's class made this castle together.
Evan's moving self portrait.
Origami was a huge theme in Evan's class this year. They came up with some really beautiful ways to display their creations at the art museum.
Evan's tool invention - I think it is a screwdriver with a bunch of add-ons.
Evan made this saw out of recycled materials.
The saw was the creation he was most proud of.
Steve visited several times to talk about tools with the students in each class.
Nora's "memory stories" about tools.
Evan's class taught the preschool class how to make paper.
Nora's self portrait.
One of their art projects centered around learning about and recreating nests, specifically the nests of the bower birds. If you've never heard of this kind of bird and their amazing nests, you should google it to see what fascinating creations they make.
The preschool class was split up into four color groups and they pretended to be bower birds making nests of their color. Nora was in the green group.
If you made it all the way to the end, I'm sharing this cutie who couldn't resist a photo bomb opportunity!
Here is some of Anya work.
Fingerknitting was a big hit in Anya's class this year. Some children chose to knit all their projects together, but Anya kept hers separate. She has one on display in the center of the two giant balls made by her classmates.

Last, but not least, we have Nora's preschool artwork. One of these beautiful water colors belongs to her.
The preschoolers created this model house together.
Nora was the student who was playing with the wood with her friend and they asked to make a balance beam. They brought it to the art museum and she enjoyed showing it off.Steve visited several times to talk about tools with the students in each class.
